Wall Street is celebrating Coinbase after the crypto exchange operator posted its first quarterly profit in two years. Late Thursday, Coinbase posted earnings of $1.04 per share on $954 million of revenue for the fourth quarter. "Happy days are here again" for Coinbase, as Raymond James put it, but it's not clear for how long. "That said, we maintain our U/P rating given crypto market unpredictability, lack of revenue diversification, valuation, and continued legal overhang." JPMorgan, neutral, PT $95 "Management calls spot bitcoin ETFs [a] net positive but, we're still unconvinced," said JPMorgan's Kenneth Worthington.

She was not open about her personal life, according to former NASA astronaut Steve Hawley, who was married to Ride from 1982 to 1987. However, the educational company she cofounded, Sally Ride Science, revealed more of her personal life in her 2012 obituary, recognizing her longtime partner, Tam O’Shaughnessy, after Ride died of pancreatic cancer. Analysts are split on how Coinbase shares perform from here as the company enters a battle with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Others see this development as a major threat to Coinbase's business, going beyond near-term financial implications. Raymond James thinks Charles Schwab 's core business remains healthy despite concerns about the volatility in the banking system. Schwab's "core franchise [is] still healthy," the analyst wrote in a Monday note to clients. "Importantly, concerns about the stability of the banking system have not impaired Schwab's ability to attract new accounts and assets. In fact, net new accounts grew at a 4.3% annualized pace in 1Q23 while core net new assets grew at a 7.5% pace." To be sure, he noted that elevated cash sorting "is a stark reminder of the interest rate risk inherent within Schwab's business model."
